Ryan Industries, Inc., a metal fabricator in Hillsboro, Oregon was founded in 1979 by John and Barbara Ryan. They purchased a few pieces of equipment and began building custom boat trailers in the garage of their home. Within 6 months, the business had grown out ofBoat Trailer the garage and into a larger space. Ryan Trailers quickly became a well known and respected brand name in boating and gave Ryan Industries a reputation for quality.

John used his contacts to bring in other projects to build the range of products Ryan Industries manufactured. Over several years, rotational molds and parts for pitching machines and batting cages soon became a large portion of the business and the trailer line was eventually sold off. The buyer kept the name, and Ryan Trailers are still built today.

Ryan has kept upgrading equipment and adding more diversification to the range of products we manufacture. As large production manufacturing has moved overseas, we have increased our custom fabrication business, building a reputation for knowledge, quality and reliable delivery. We are still a family owned and operated business with a dedication to building things right.

In 1993 a spin-off was founded, Ryan Technology, Inc., marketing a line of horizontal bun slicers for the bakery industry. Our first two models, the Model 892 Center-Hinge Butterfly Slicer and the Model 793 Rotary Table Utility Slicer were well received when they debuted at the 1994 International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) in Las Vegas. The Model 793 Rotary Table Slicer was particularly applauded as it represented the return of a unit similar to the old, reliable Zira slicer, but with upgrades and more versatility. It has earned Ryan the reputation of being the slicer for bagels (but we slice more than just bagels). Ryan has kept the tradition of quality and reliability in all our products. Some of the first Ryan slicers ever built are still in use today.
